Time for change in Ketchum

I am urging Ketchum voters to carefully consider their votes for two new City Council members on May 15. Since none of the candidates has previously held elected office, you will want to choose based on overall experience, personal involvement/investment in local business and honesty. Also key are positions that clearly show a desire to do the best possible for as many of the electorate as possible, not just the few well-positioned.

Innovative thinking by the candidates should figure prominently in your selections. Being hand-picked by the mayor does not in any way qualify that individual to hold office. Consider what powerful interests might be behind a candidate—and why.

Please do not use your vote for an unelectable candidate as a protest; voting for the best candidates is your best form of protest. Now is the time for the direction change in local government that so many have desired.
