Eight Sun Valley Figure Skating Club members accumulated 21 medals to capture the second-place team trophy out of 17 clubs at the Jackson Hole Invitational on March 16-18.

Shayna Moellenberg, Alexandra Harten, Isabella Bourret, Emma Stuessi, Lane Letourneau, Alex Stuessi, Blake Letourneau and Antonia Avery were accompanied by coaches Holly Wheeler, Lisa-Marie Allen and Gia Guddat.

Highlights were two individual overall free skate trophies, and an individual award for outstanding performance.

Moellenberg was Sun Valley's highest-level competitor. Skating in Senior Ladies, Moellenberg won gold medals in both the Senior Free Skate and Senior Short Program events.

She earned the Senior Ladies Combined Free Skate champion trophy. Moellenberg also accepted the Sherrie Fleuter Award for demonstrating excellence in artistic and freestyle skating and representing the spirit of figure skating at the Jackson Hole Invitational.

Emma Stuessi was Sun Valley's top non-qualifying skater. She won bronzes in Free Skate and Artistic, and gold in Pre Juvenile/Open Juvenile/Juvenile Showcase. Alex Stuessi won golds in Preliminary Group A Artistic and Showcase, and silver in Preliminary Free Skate, Group C.

In Preliminary Group B, Lane Letourneau captured gold in Artistic and Showcase. She placed fourth in Free Skate. In Group A, Blake Letourneau won silver in Free Skate and bronze in both Artistic and Showcase. Antonia Avery competed in Pre Preliminary Group A, winning gold Artistic and silver in Showcase. She placed fourth in Free Skate.

On Saturday night, Sun Valley skaters joined Jackson Hole's St. Patrick's Day party by donning crazy costumes and entering the event's traditional "Gong Showcase" competition.

Scrutinized by costumed judges wielding giant gong mallets, Alex Stuessi and Blake Letourneau had the audience in stitches with their show. They won "Low Gong Pairs" as "Toddlers in Tiaras."

Moellenberg won the "High Gong" event skating to "Mean." Harten and Avery placed second in "Medium Gong Pairs" skating as giant hot dogs to a "Who Let the Dogs Out-Hound Dog" medley. Lane Letourneau and Emma Stuessi rocked the house for the bronze as bloodied boxers to the "Rocky" theme song.
