Farrington gets bronze in France


Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation Gold Team snowboarder Kaitlyn Farrington has turned in some big results at the Euro Winter X Games in France, her most recent was a third-place finish in the women's snowboard superpipe on Wednesday, as reported by the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation.

The 2012 Grand Prix overall champion, Farrington scored 81.3 points at the event in Tignes to finish behind winner Kelly Clark, who tallied 95 points out of 100, and runner-up Elena Hight with 85 points. Farrington threw three 900s on her bronze-medal run.

Clark is the first athlete to win back-to-back snowboard superpipe titles at the Euro X Games and has won 17 events in the last two years, according to ESPN.com. Farrington claimed the Euro X Games crown in 2010.

Switching gears to alpine racing, Gold Team member Tanner Farrow skied to 22nd after starting 58th in a Nor-Am Cup slalom at Stowe, Vermont. Farrow is a member of the U.S. Ski and Snowboard D Team.
