A 25-year-old Hailey man was arrested early Sunday morning on a felony charge of aggravated battery for allegedly striking a man from Canada over the head with a beer bottle in an altercation at the Casino Club in downtown Ketchum.

Ketchum police identified the suspect Tuesday as Joshua E. Pejsa. Police identified the alleged victim as Chad Betts, of British Columbia.

Police were called to the Casino Club at about 1:30 a.m. They reported that Betts "sustained a gash to his head and was treated for his injuries."

Pejsa was reportedly taken to the Blaine County jail but he was not listed as an inmate Tuesday afternoon. A court file was not yet available regarding the case.
