Julia M. Ellegood of Bellevue has earned honors distinction (GPA 3.2 through 3.49) for the fall semester at the University of Tennessee at Martin.

Brita Gaeddert of Hailey made the fall semester dean's list at Linfield College in McMinnville, Ore.

Hannah Carr of Hailey, a sophomore Molecular Genetics major in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, has been named to the fall semester dean's list at the University of Vermont in Burlington.

Also from Vermont, Ketchum's Hannah Ohlson received a bachelor's degree in environmental studies within the College of Arts and Sciences during the 208th commencement ceremonies at the Burlington university, held in December 2011.

Idaho Mountain Express scholarship recipient Jill Feldhusen of Hailey has earned dean's list honors for the fall semester at the University of Montana in Missoula.

Community School graduate and Idaho state Rep. Brian Cronin, D-Boise, was one of 24 of America's leading public officials invited to participate in the Aspen-Rodel Fellowship program that focuses on transcending political partisanship and concentrating on leadership and governance. Cronin is minority caucus chair of the Idaho House of Representatives. The 24-hour Aspen-Rodel program started in January and features weekend seminars paid for by the Aspen Institute in Colorado.

Hailey resident Kyler Van Dyck made the dean's list for the fall semester at University of Montana Western in Dillon, Mont.

Elana King-Nakaoka of Hailey, a member of the Class of 2014, has been named to the fall term honor roll at Phillips Academy in Andover, Mass.

Hemingway Elementary School fourth-grade student Aidan Burchmore was the Ketchum school's winner of the National Geography Bee. Also on the podium were second-place Jake Albright and third-place Jake Gorham. Other classroom winners were Melissa Gonzalez, Anabelle Rust, Audra Mary, Owen Ruggeri and Wyatt Minor.

Devan Ellison Annan, a 2009 Wood River High School graduate, has earned a 3.85 GPA for 2011 dean's list distinction at the University of Montana in Missoula. She is a daughter of Tristan Ellison Gralenski (Dan Gralenski) of Bellevue and Drew Annan (Beth Annan) of Flagstaff, Ariz.

Kevin Chin of Hailey made the dean's list for the 2011 spring semester at Biolo Universwity in La Mirada, Calif.

Teacher Janet Salvoni and the third- and fourth-grade students from the Community School in Sun Valley joined the Hailey Kiwanis Club's Koats for Kids program this past year. They collected more than 250 articles of warm clothing including jackets, snow pants, hats and boots. The articles were delivered to Mountain West Bank in Hailey, a charter member of the Hailey Kiwanis Club. Then the clothes were given to all the elementary schools in the Wood River Valley to be used this winter.

Two Ketchum brothers, senior Taylor Sundali and freshman Daniel Sundali, made the dean's list for the fall semester at Middlebury College in Vermont. Taylor also runs on the college's cross-country running team and Daniel is a member of Middlebury's cross-country ski team.

Keller Gibson of Ketchum was named to the Beloit (Wisc.) College dean's list for the fall semester.
