Anne Williams Ford

Anne Williams Ford died Sunday morning, Feb. 5, at her home in Sun Valley, Idaho. Anne had been a resident in the Sun Valley area for the past 16 years, previously living in San Francisco, Calif.

Anne has always had an adventurous spirit. Singing, skiing, fishing and scuba diving were just a few of the things she loved to do. She has spent many an hour on the Big Wood, casting a fly, or on the Galena trails skiing with her beloved dog, Zoe. You may have seen her there, or around town with a smile and a kind word. Her smile and her enthusiasm for life will be missed.

Anne was born in Detroit, Mich., to Joseph and Mary Williams on May 5, 1938. She is survived by her sisters, Sharon and Linda; her sons, Ned and Clark French, and their wives, Mimt and Joanna; and her grandchildren, Carolyn, Lauren and Milissa. Anne was predeceased by her youngest son, Gage.

In lieu of flowers, family and friends are making contributions to Hospice and Palliative Care of the Wood River Valley, www.hpcwrv.org/index.html.

A memorial gathering will be held Saturday, Feb. 11, from 4-7 p.m. at the home of John and Tracy Lee, 106 Log Chain Lane. That is just past Penny Lake out Warm Springs Road. Go out and make some turns for her before you come. Then we will have a few drinks, something to eat and tell some good stories.

Arrangements are under the care of Wood River Chapel. Friends are welcome to share memories and leave a condolence at www.woodriverchapel.com.
