Wrestlers take down Twin Falls 57-27

League dual meet

Gearing up for this weekend's Challis tournament, the Wood River High School wrestling team improved its season record to 15-6 in dual meets with a 57-27 road victory over the Twin Falls Bruins Tuesday.

Most Wolverine wins, seven of them, were pins. They were by Tim Boyle at 113 pounds, Tommy Bailey at 145, Zach Brown at 152, Jackson Toothman at 160, Storm Anderson at 170, Jeremiah Linderman at 220 and Chris Carnes at 285.

Thomas Heiden at 182 pounds captured another win by major decision and Andrew Beck took a technical fall at 126. Cooper Bailey received a forfeit win at 120. Two of five Bruins wins were by forfeit.

Wood River has only one dual meet remaining before the Feb. 15 Great Basin Conference tournament at Canyon Ridge in Twin Falls, but it's a tough one at Jerome Feb. 8.
