Town Series teams start gaining points

Fink-Debray is fastest

It was another excellent turnout for the 21st annual Sun Valley Town Series Wednesday as 127 racers ran the gates on Baldy's Cozy ski run. The second week of racing was the first time to calculate team points.

Seven teams posted the most desirable 0.00-point total and one other was right behind. The 0.00 teams were Scott USA, Sutterly Fabulous, SVSEF, Tekasoreasses and Wood River Masonry, with PK's: Occupy Baldy coming home with a 0.01.

Fastest single-run finisher Miles Fink-Debray (25.65 seconds) of Park Rats and Carl Rixon Jr. (26.30) of Tekasoreasses switched places from Week One. The middle-of-the-road "rabbit" was Jack Bunce (34.91) of Leading From Behind.

Others in the top 10 were:

3—Robin Sarchett (Park Rats) 26.40. 4—Nate Schwing (SVSEF) 26.78. 4—Tyler Chandler (Occupy Baldy) 26.78. 6—Hunter Storey (Team Manopause Plus 1) 26.97. 7—Cam Fraser (WR Masonry) 27.83. 8—Wes Powell (WR Masonry) 27.83. 9—Jan Hegewald (Cougerstone Commandos) 27.93. 10—Brett Jacobson (Pulling Out is for Quitters) 28.02.

Next in the seven-week series of dual modified giant slaloms (with the party location in parentheses): Feb. 8, best single run (Cornerstone in Ketchum) and Feb. 15, combined two runs (McClain's in Hailey).
