Local immigrants face racism

Immigration has became a hot topic in the state and the nation. I have heard many racial remarks and jokes about Mexican immigrants. The immigrant has to submit to insults, injustices and exploitation every day in this valley.

My answer to insults, injustice and exploitation of the Mexican immigrants is answered with love and nonviolence—love for those who hate me and don't understand me, nonviolence for those who try to use violence against me. "A nonviolence resistance does not seek to defeat or humiliate the opponent, but to win his friendship and understanding."

I will endure and carry on with love and nonviolent resistance for future generations of this valley and the rest of the nation. The valley has become a self-segregated community. I say try to love and understand those who you segregate yourself from. Peace, love and hope!
