All-terrain telemark race is Saturday

The Sun Valley Telemark Series debuts its 32nd year as the longest continuously run telemark ski series in the U.S. on Saturday, Jan. 28.

Saturday's event is the All-Terrain Race on Baldy. The All-Terrain Race encompasses all aspects of telemark skiing including groomers, off-piste, moguls, gates, trees, rapaloosas, jumps and a few surprises.

Registration is in the Warm Springs Lodge from 9-11 a.m. with racing beginning on Cozy at 12 p.m. There will be two guided ski tours of the course at 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to familiarize racers with the race's unique features. Race fee is $20 and a competitor lift ticket will be available at the Warm Springs ticket window for $53 with your race entry.

All telemark skiers are encouraged to participate. Snowboarders are welcome, too.
