46th annual Ski Club week starts Sunday

Reunion event at Sun Valley

By JEFF CORDES

Much attention in the Wood River Valley next week will be focused on the third annual Sun Valley Nordic Festival, yet a more venerable local event will be observed over a similar Jan. 29-Feb. 3 time frame.

That's the 46th annual Sun Valley Ski Club Reunion Week. It starts Sunday, Jan. 29, and features ski racing and social activities, including Tuesday's 40th running of the Robert and Rosemary Bradford Memorial alpine giant slalom on Baldy.

The biggest event of the Ski Club's annual calendar, Reunion Week will open with a reception at the Sun Valley Clubhouse on Sunday and continues with Austrian Night on Monday at Carol's Dollar Mountain Lodge in Sun Valley.

Tuesday's Bradford Cup on Warm Springs will be followed in the afternoon by the club's annual business meeting in the Sun Valley Inn.

Longtime local Harold Tollerup will host the Barbara Tollerup Memorial Nordic Tour on Wednesday, Feb. 1, at Sun Valley Nordic. Tollerup Cup participants and onlookers can enjoy a hosted luncheon at Sun Valley Clubhouse afterwards.

The Reunion Week dinner dance is Thursday, Feb. 2, in the Sun Valley Lodge Dining Room (dress for your comfort). On Friday, Feb. 3, there will a ski get-together on Baldy with lunch in the Roundhouse.
