WRHS wrestlers take down Wendell, Filer

Sweep dual meets

     WoodRiverHigh School’s wrestling team (5-1 dual meets) scored nine pins and added nine forfeit wins to sweep Tuesday’s non-conference triangular meet at Wendell.

     The Wolverines defeated Wendell 60-24 and took care of Filer 55-24. Senior Jeremiah Linderman had a pair of pins at 220 pounds while sophomore Kyle Clark and junior Tommy Bailey wrestled to two wins apiece in 145 and 152 classes.

     Coach Shawn Huntington said, “The wrestlers have had a few setbacks in recent weeks so it was really nice to see the guys come out determined and wrestle really tough.”

     Saturday, the Wolverines travel to Skyview in Nampa for the TreasureValley duals.

     98 pounds—Double forfeit.
