2012 Prairie Creek Snowmaker results


Jan. 7, 2012, the Prairie Creek Snowmaker cross-country races north of Ketchum—sponsored by The Elephant's Perch of Ketchum with the support of the Blaine County Recreation District, Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation and volunteers. A total 153 skiers, 70 female and 83 male, which was 32 skiers more than last year's event. Finishing times in minutes and seconds, with age listed after a racer's name.

Saturday's field included 4 of the 5 women on the University of Utah Nordic team coached by Ketchum's Abi Holt. They were junior Parker Tyler of Vermont, senior Rose Kemp of Boise, junior Mali Noyes of Ketchum and junior Marta Larsen of Sweden. The field also featured 2 of the 4 Utah men's Nordic collegians, Tom Smith of Bend, Ore. and Rolf Figi of Betschwanden, Switz.

Next local Nordic race is the Sun Valley Ski Club's Billy Goat Loppet set for Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012 at Billy's Bridge.
