Jeannie (Dorothy Jean) Bockus

We are deeply saddened at the loss of our beautiful 84-year-old mother, who passed away peacefully at VGH from a sudden illness.

Jeannie was our hero—an excellent mother who offered unconditional love and support. Always the life of the party, she will be remembered for her sense of fun and warm generosity.

Jeannie was born in Doonside, Saskatchewan, Canada, in 1927, and grew up on the family farm riding her pony Peek-a-Boo. She settled in Vancouver, where she raised her three children. Jeannie found the love of her life with her second husband, Fred Bockus, who predeceased her.

She will be forever missed and never forgotten by her daughters, Lynn Pritchett (Dan), Debbie Gojevic (John) and Sandy Sturgeon; her brother, Cameron McCannell; and her grandchildren, Bo, Tyler and Jordan Pritchett, Luka Gojevic and Sophia Sturgeon.
