Local Olympian deserves better

After reading the letter from Ginger Harris concerning local Olympian Jim Sedin, we felt it necessary to support everything she wrote. Jim has been a member of our community for many, many years. He is a true gentleman and a true Olympian. That he was overlooked is very sad indeed but the fact that nothing has been done to rectify this is an outrage.

We contacted a member of the "committee" at the time the banners were placed and were given a response that led us to believe that the matter would be looked into and remedied. We have since heard that nothing much can be done. In this athletic-minded town, we cannot believe that Jim Sedin's name cannot be added to the banners.

What more can we do besides calling the "committee" and writing letters to the editor? Must we engrave it ourselves?
