Bellevue to open up new firehouse

By EXPRESS STAFF

The city of Bellevue will hold an open house on Saturday, Nov. 5, to allow the public to tour a newly acquired building for the Fire Department.

The Bellevue Fire Station, next to City Hall, will be relocating this month to the new building acquired by the city at 517 N. Second St.

The new building will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

Fire Chief Greg Beaver will be on hand to answer questions about an initiative on the Nov. 8 election ballot calling for a $375,000 bond to buy equipment and additional land for the Fire Department.

"Please come down and tour the new facility and see what the city is the proud new owner of," Planning Administrator Craig Eckles said.
