Cooley is ready for City Council

I am writing this letter to voice my support of Pat Cooley for Hailey City Council. I served on the Hailey Planning and Zoning Commission with Pat during his time as chair of that commission. During his chairmanship, Pat led the commission with good sense, strength and respect.

In 2001, the year my term started, Hailey was going through a challenging time of rapid growth with new people and projects coming into the city from all directions. Planning and Zoning meetings were packed with big issues and big attendance by the public. Many meetings involved difficult choices.

Pat always tried to keep our meeting on the "high ground." He set a tone of respect and regard that helped everyone work together. I remember his way of opening public comment at difficult meetings, saying, "Remember folks, as you speak tonight, that these are your friends and neighbors." This is something that Pat seemed to always remember.

Pat's leadership kept the Hailey Planning and Zoning Commission moving forward during a challenging time. I support Pat Cooley for Hailey City Council because I believe he will serve on that body with the same humility, wisdom and regard for the public that I witnessed during his time on P&Z. Please vote for Pat Cooley for Hailey City Council.
