Vote for Lamb as write-in

Joan Lamb has been a steady voice for common sense and clear thinking on the Sun Valley City Council, and we are going to vote for her on Nov. 8 as a write-in candidate.

Joan is not only an incumbent council member but has had a highly successful career in business—Important qualifications given the many difficult issues facing Sun Valley and other local governments in these tough economic times.

As a new council member, Joan championed a balanced annual budget that pays for city operations without dipping into reserve funds. We applaud her efforts to keep costs of government down while safeguarding our city's financial resources for truly important and unexpected expenditures.

Our city needs streets and paths repaired and life-safety equipment replaced, and Joan has led the way in developing a strategy to provide the necessary improvements to these important services and pay for them in a responsible manner.

Please join us and so many of our neighbors in voting to retain Joan's steady influence on the Sun Valley City Council. Because of a technicality, although Joan is an incumbent, her name will not appear on your ballot. Please write in "Joan Lamb" in the space labeled "write in" on the ballot. A vote for Joan Lamb is a vote for fiscal responsibility and strong leadership for our community.

John and Laura Grabow
