Ketchum council has helped town

The initiative to change the form of government on the ballot on Nov. 8 threatens to unseat a mayor and council that have tremendous vision and commitment to community. With their support, the development of the Fourth Street Heritage Corridor and Town Square has brought a renewed sense of vibrancy to downtown Ketchum. Locals and visitors alike have a physical space they can naturally congregate and share in our city's tremendous culture.

This mayor and council have also demonstrated a dedication to the arts with the creation of the Ketchum Arts Council. Initiatives that this group champions such as the Kagan Sculpture Garden and other community art installations help reinforce that in addition to world-class recreational assets, we have tremendous cultural offerings.

This is visionary leadership and this change is unwarranted. I urge you to join me in voting no on council-manager Nov. 8.
