Nordic trails season passes on sale Oct. 17

You are not alone if you have been staring at your cross-country skis lately joyfully anticipating skiing on the valley's expertly groomed BCRD Nordic trails.

The Blaine County Recreation District has announced that season passes for its Nordic trails system go on sale Monday, Oct. 17. Passes can be purchased at  HYPERLINK http://www.bcrd.org www.bcrd.org.

Those who purchase online will receive a $34 discount on adult "All BCRD Nordic Trails" passes until Sunday, Nov. 20.

Season passes are $175 for adults during the pre-season sale ($209 after Nov. 20), $29 for youth ages 13-17, $49 for dogs, and $99 for Quigley only passes. The children's pass is back again this season, all children 12 and under ski free.

The 130-kilometer BCRD trails system is one of the largest in the U.S. and offers some of the greatest diversity of Nordic fun for the whole family.

Escape to the Sawtooth NRA wilderness or visit Galena Lodge for snowshoe or ski lessons. There you can check out the overnight yurts and enjoy a first-class dining experience in the rustic lodge.

Or spend the day at Quigley Winter Park in Hailey, where pass holders enjoy the yurt for hot cocoa, watch the kids sled, play on the terrain park and snowshoe, and ski with dogs.

No tax dollars are used to groom the BCRD Nordic Trails—100% of grooming costs are covered by pass sales and donations. That's why BCRD invites everyone to purchase the special Platinum ($250), Gold ($100) or Silver ($50) pins.
