The Community Library's fans came out, and logged on, in large enough numbers to make it the winner in the Wiley Library Team's Library Display contest on Facebook.

The Ketchum library was a finalist last week, and by the time voting closed Friday morning, it pushed ahead of a Baltimore library to take top honors.

Voters could sign on to Facebook and "like" the display photos posted by libraries. The Community Library's display is of a yellow taxi, dubbed the "Frommer Roamer." It received 845 likes, while Baltimore's Enoch Pratt Free Library came in second with 653 likes.

The Community Library will receive a visit from travel guide gurus Arthur and Pauline Frommer and a donation of 50 guidebooks.

"This is a win for the entire community because the library will be able to add significantly to the books in our travel section, host an interesting evening with Pauline and Arthur Frommer, and throw a really fun party," said Executive Director Colleen Daly.

"Congratulations to the world's best library!" Carol Bruce Harlig posted on Facebook. "Bravo!!"
