Sun Valley's Hilary Knight scored the final two goals in Team USA's 6-0 victory over host Finland on Wednesday during the 2011 International Ice Hockey Federation 12 Nations Invitational Tournament Series being held Aug. 23 to Sept. 3 at Vierumäki, Finland.
Knight ended as the tournament's top goal scorer.
They were Knight's ninth and 10th goals in six games as Team USA finished up unbeaten in the eight-team 12 Nations tournament. The 22-year-old forward from the University of Wisconsin national champions had 10 goals (4 power play) and two assists for 12 points, tied for third among all skaters in the tournament.
Three-time defending world champion Team USA outscored its 12 Nations foes 48-1 including the following victories last week: 12-0 over Russia, 13-0 over Japan, 11-1 over Switzerland, 4-0 over Canada, 2-0 over Sweden and 6-0 over Finland.
Sweden (5-1-0, 26-14 goals against) finished second including a 6-4 victory over Canada on Wednesday. Third-place Canada (4-2-0, 48-13 goals against) defeated host Finland (4-2-0, 25-10 goals against) by a 3-2 score on Tuesday.
