The fire departments of the Wood River Valley will host a 9/11 Memorial on Sunday, Sept. 11, from 5-8 p.m. in the Ketchum Town Square. All proceeds from the event will go to the National Fallen Firefighters Association.

A ceremony to remember the fallen will involve members of the valley's fire departments.

Food and drink vendors will be on site, with a portion of their sales going to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, said Annie Leady, lieutenant/paramedic with the Ketchum Fire Department.

Donations also will be accepted.

The foundation's mission is to honor and remember America's fallen firefighters and to provide resources to their survivors.

After the remembrance ceremony, there will be performances by the bands Triple Nixon and Up a Creek.

"We encourage everyone to attend," Leady said.
