Richard "Dick" Arliss Lee of Carey, Idaho, passed away Thursday, Aug. 4, 2011, at St. Luke's Magic Valley Regional Medical Center in Twin Falls, Idaho.
Dick was born Feb. 11, 1932, in Los Angeles, Calif., where he was raised and attended school. He later met Barbara Wenzel in Jackson Hole, Wyo., where they were married on May 25, 1959. They shared 52 years together and raised five children: Aleesha, Rick, Shena, Bret and Bart (twins).
In 1968, Dick and Barbara moved to Idaho and settled in Carey where he worked for Kraft Foods until his retirement in 1994 at age 62. Dick enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and building treasure boxes. He loved animals and especially loved spending time with family.
Dick is survived by his wife, Barbara; his children, Aleesha (Galen), Rick (Diana), Shena (John),
Bret (Amanda) and Bart (Kathleen). He is also survived by his brother, Bill Lee; his two sisters, Joanne Norris and Caroline Colson; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harley and Katy, and two brothers, Bob and Don Lee.
A celebration of Dick's life will be held on Friday, Aug. 12, at 11 a.m. at the Larkin Community Church in Carey with his son Rick Lee officiating under the pulpit of Pastor Richard Kimball. Services are under the direction of Reynolds Funeral Chapel, Twin Falls.
