CSI announces vanpool service

Vanpool service will be available this fall to transport Blaine County students to College of Southern Idaho's main campus in Twin Falls, CSI announced this week.

The vanpool will be provided by Mountain Rides Transportation Authority. The service starts on Aug. 22 and will run Monday through Thursday during the fall semester. The van will leave the CSI Blaine County Campus at 6:20 a.m. and will depart from the Twin Falls campus at 2:30 p.m.

CSI Blaine County Campus Director Jenny Emery Davidson explained that students can take numerous lower division classes at the campus in Hailey, but specialized classes, such as those for the registered nursing program, are offered only in Twin Falls.

"The vanpool presents a transportation option that will facilitate greater integration between the two campuses, helping Wood River Valley residents to use the resources at both sites," Davidson said.

The cost for a single roundtrip ride per week is $40 per month. Students riding the bus four days a week will pay $130 per month.

Advance registration is required. For more information, contact the Blaine County Campus at 788-2033.
