Carrie Westergard announced this week that Friday is her last day as outreach and public relations specialist for Mountain Rides Transportation Authority.

Westergard will start a new job in Boise on Aug. 15 directing "leadership programs and community relations" for the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce.

Westergard worked for the former Ketchum-Sun Valley Chamber & Visitors Bureau for 15 years, most recently as marketing director, before going to Mountain Rides in 2010.

"This was such a tough decision for me to make because I have truly been fortunate to work with a great organization making a difference in this community," Westergard said in a press release. "I personally appreciate all the support you have given me and Mountain Rides this past year. I am sure you will continue to see the value of this organization for years to come."
