Rainbow Gold Campers Arrive

Escorted by hundreds of motorcyclists, 41 Idaho children diagnosed with cancer arrived at the Cathedral Pines location of Camp Rainbow Gold on Sunday afternoon to start their six-day camp north of Ketchum. The camp is a program of the American Cancer Society, which provides a medically supervised, activity-filled camping experience for the kids. Staffed by loads of volunteers, the children learn and share many life lessons and experiences. The camp has been in existence for 28 years, 20 of which have been at Cathedral Pines. This year also marks the second year that Jamie Rivetts has been executive director. Express photo by Willy Cook
