Thanks for musical bliss

My wife, Joan, and I enjoyed a magical evening this past Sunday at the Sun Valley Pavilion. We were treated to an hour of learning, followed by an hour of musical bliss. The venue is beyond description, set right here in paradise.

It clearly requires many hands to produce such evenings—organizers, stage-hands, parking personnel, ushers and, of course, the musicians. But two families deserve center stage when the applause begins.

Carol and Earl Holding and their family gave us this musical palace. Besides their generosity, their attention to every detail—acoustics, comfort and beauty—is clear from the moment one enters Sun Valley's pavilion.

Jan Aronson and Edgar Bronfman Sr. provide the musicians and the music. Year after year, the Bronfmans insist on top-quality musicians and very accessible discourse and music. And year after year, many lives are thereby enriched.

Because of the giving impulse of two families, we in Sun Valley are afforded world class music in a world class setting.
