Camp Rainbow Gold is off and running on Sunday at Cathedral Pines camp, north of Ketchum, to give Idaho kids with cancer a chance to have a weeklong sleep-away experience with numerous activities and events. Celebrating life and enjoying summer, the kids at Camp Rainbow Gold find camaraderie and joy as well as a moment of relief from living with or being in remission from cancer. Camp will take place from July 31 to Aug. 5.

Kids who come to Camp Rainbow Gold are given a motorcycle escort to celebrate the beginning of camp. This year, the 10th annual Motorcycle Escort to Camp Rainbow Gold will take place on Sunday, July 31. The escort will meet at Bellevue Memorial Park in central Bellevue at 11 a.m. for a barbecue lunch served by the Kiwanis Club. All supporters are welcome. The buses will arrive around 1 p.m., after which the escort will begin. Bellevue, Hailey and Ketchum residents are encouraged to line the streets and celebrate summer with the riders and campers. The day will conclude with a party at the Wicked Spud in Hailey from 4-6 p.m.
