Idaho Bioscience 14, KECH 13

Seeking its first victory of the season, Bioscience trailed 7-4 after three innings but carried the attack the rest of the game with 10 runs on 14 hits in the final four frames. The winners also held off a 3-run KECH rally in the seventh. Bioscience: Isaac Chilcote 3 hits (2 doubles, HR) and 3 runs, Kevin Jones 2 hits, 2 runs and 2 RBI, Ashley Madrid 2 hits (double), Levi Perryman 4 hits (3 doubles), Nathaniel Friedman 3 doubles. KECH: Danny Maloney 5 hits (4 HR), 4 runs and 5 RBI, Jeff Heinecke 2 hits, Shannon Flavin 3-run HT, Scotty Carlson 2-run HR, Trey Knox 4 hits (triple, double).

Firefighters 21, Elevate 10

Firefighters, behind 5-4 in the third, sent 14 batters to the plate and erupted for 9 runs on 10 hits in the home third helped by 3 walks. They added 5 runs in the fifth for an 18-8 cushion. Firefighters: Matt Christian 3 hits (double) and 3 runs, Sarah Benson 4 hits (double) and 3 runs, Keith Potter 4 hits (2 doubles) and 4 runs, Ed Binnie 3 hits (2 doubles) and 2 runs, Karly Maratea 2 hits and 2 runs. Elevate: Matt Siegel triple and 2 runs, Cooper Minnis 2 hits (HR), Carrie Philbrick 3 hits, Dirk Zondag 2 triples.

Lefty's Bar & Grill 15, KECH 9 (6 innings)

Lefty's went a long way toward nailing down the No. 2 tournament seed in its win over KECH. Striking early, Lefty's sent 13 batters up in a 7-run, 10-hit first as Tony Mallane (2 hits) cleared the bases with a 2-run double. KECH cut its 10-2 deficit to 10-8 with a 6-run, 4-hit third as Jamie Rivetts cranked out a 2-run HR. Lefty's surged ahead for good with a 5-run, 7-hit fourth capped by back-to-back shots—a 2-run HR by Jeff Burrell (3 hits, triple, 3 runs) and a solo blast by M.J. Musselman (3 hits, 2 runs). Lefty's: Anthony Anderson 3 doubles and 3 runs, Wendy Speth double, triple, 2 runs and 2 RBI; 2 hits apiece by Levie Smith, Tawni Baker, Jamie Trevino and Bonnie Burrell. KECH: Danny Maloney 3 hits (HR, double), 2 runs and 2 RBI; and 2 hits each by Jeff Heinecke, Shannon Flavin and Kirsten Flavin.

Casino/Whiskey Jacques 20, Idaho Bioscience 1 (5 innings)

Using a 10-run first and 6-run fourth, Casino stayed unbeaten through nine games, limiting Bioscience to 8 hits, 2 by Isaac Chilcote. Casino (20 hits): Bryan O'Connell 2 hits (HR) and 3 runs, Nic Nottingham 3 hits (2 doubles) and 4 runs, Matt Zachary 3 hits (HR, 2 triples) and 3 runs, Vicki Johnson 2 hits (double), Kathy Baker 3 hits and 2 runs, Brenda Johnson 2 doubles.
