Prosecuting attorneys from throughout the United States will be in Sun Valley next week for the summer conference of the National District Attorneys Association.
"It is an honor that the National District Attorneys Association chose Sun Valley to host their annual meeting and I look forward to welcoming the participants to our valley," said Blaine County Prosecuting Attorney Jim Thomas. "I believe that the opportunity to collaborate with prosecutors from around the country will be very beneficial to my office as well as for other prosecutors from Idaho."
Thomas is scheduled to give opening remarks when the conference starts at 8:30 a.m. on Monday at Sun Valley Resort. The conference lasts through Wednesday.
The keynote address is scheduled for 9 a.m. Monday. Speakers are Erin Moriarty and Richard Schlesinger, correspondents for CBS News 48 Hours Mystery.
Other sessions throughout the conference will focus on the prosecutor ethics, United States criminal justice issues, "Marijuana in America: Current Status," synthetic drugs and "Cross Border Trafficking and Violence."
A complete agenda is available at the www.ndaa.org.
The conference is mainly intended for prosecutors, but the public can attend. There is a fee. Non-NDAA members can attend the full conference for $475. One-day registration is $175.
