ARCH Community Housing Trust has scheduled a benefit illustrating an array of valley home designer talent and inspiring home ideas, all possible for living in the valley. The first Sun Valley Designer Showcase and Garden Lunch Party, which will benefit the Wood River Valley nonprofit affordable community housing organization, will take place on Wednesday, July 20, at 1 p.m. Tickets are $100 and $60 is tax-deductible.

The party location is at ARCH's most recent housing project, a single-family residence on Sabala Street in West Ketchum. The affordable Ketchum home has been renovated by local designers and business owners inside and out. The event will feature a garden party lunch at the home of designer Bruce Martin and his wife, Kelly, who live next door to the property. The event also will include a tour of the decorated home with the designers in attendance.

A raffle of home décor items and a silent auction with donations from many local artists and business supporters also will be featured. Chef Judith McQueen will serve a summer lunch menu.

The designer showcase will be free and open to the public for 10 days following the grand opening, daily from July 21-30, with the talents of the interior and exterior designers on view as well as many home décor items up for silent auction.

The remodel of the house includes many upgrades such as a new roof, new kitchen and new master bath. With approximately 1,400 livable square feet, the home has three bedrooms, two baths, a yard and an attached garage. Approximately 20 local designers and business owners worked on the renovation.

All the proceeds from the showcase benefit affordable housing projects in Blaine County. For tickets to the luncheon, times that the house will be open each day and more information about ARCH, call 726-4411.
