RESULTS

Lefty's Bar & Grill 22, Idaho Bioscience 3 (5 innings)

Lefty's (28 hits) completed a 50-hit doubleheader sweep with a big win over winless Bioscience. The winners enjoyed a 10-run, 12-hit second for an early 15-1 advantage. Buffalo Rixon (3 hits, triple, 2 runs) smacked a 3-run HR to spark the 10-run frame. Lefty's: Brenda Blackwell 2 hits (double) and 3 runs, Anthony Anderson 3 hits (2 triples) and 3 runs, Wendy Speth 4 hits (double), 3 runs and 3 RBI, Dave Hausmann triple, double and 3 RBI, Nicole Buchwalter 4 hits (double), 4 runs and 3 RBI, Kyle Rushton 4 hits (double, HR), 2 runs and 3 RBI, and 2 hits each by Tawni Baker, Tony Mallane and Levie Smith. Bioscience: Jane Kerzen and Shannon 2 hits each, Nate triple and double.

Casino/Whiskey Jacques 22, Elevate 7 (5 innings)

The Casino busted open a 3-3 deadlock with a 10-run, 10-hit third. Casino (24 hits): Tom Moreland 4 hits (2 doubles, triple) and 4 runs, Matt Zachary 3 hits (double, triple) and 2 runs, Sara Torres and Craig Morse 2 hits and 3 runs apiece, Lisa Vadalma 4 hits and 2 runs. Elevate: Cooper Minnis double, 2-run HR and 2 runs, Dirk Zondag 2 hits (double).

Lefty's Bar & Grill 17, Elevate 8

In a battle of .500 teams, things started well for Elevate with its 6-run, 8-hit first as Cooper Minnis got things rolling with a 3-run HR. Lefty's got 3 runs back in the home first and seized control for a 12-6 cushion with an 8-run, 8-hit third. Lefty's (22 hits): Kyle Rushton 4-for-4 (2 doubles, triple) and 3 RBI, Tony Mallane 3 hits and 2 runs, Buffalo Rixon 3-for-4 (2 doubles, HR) and 4 RBI, Anthony Anderson 4 hits (2 doubles, 2-run HR), Wendy Speth 3 hits and 2 runs, Dave Hausmann 3 hits (2 doubles) and 2 runs. Elevate: Travis Thelen 3 hits (HR, triple) and 2 runs, and 2 hits each for Kellee Havens, Kayt Vanderberger and Dirk Zondag.

KECH 18, Firefighters 16

A close game started out explosively as the Firefighters pushed across 5 runs on 7 hits in the first, and KECH replied with 6 runs on 6 hits of its own in the home half. KECH stayed ahead until the Firefighters tied the game 14-14 with a 5—run, 6-hit sixth. Once again, KECH had an answer—4 runs in the home sixth from the bottom of its batting order. The Firefighters came back once again but fell just short, leaving the potential tying runs in scoring position in the seventh. KECH: Shannon Flavin 4 hits (triple, double) and 4 runs, Lenny Joseph 4 hits (triple, 2 doubles, HR) and 3 runs, Danny Maloney 5 hits (2 doubles, HR) and 2 runs, Erica Hogan 2 hits and 2 runs, Kirsten Flavin 3 hits and 3 runs, Scotty Carlson triple, double and 2 sac flies. Firefighters: Steph Rowley 3 hits and 4 runs, Justin Herald 3 hits (2 triples) and 2 runs, Keith Potter 4 hits (double) and 2 runs, Melinda Milner 3 hits and 2 runs, Jeff Bailey 3 doubles and 2 runs, and 2 hits apiece by Rune Haavik (double), Lee Ritzau and Tina Carnes.
