Buffalo Rixon (3 hits, triple, 2 runs) smacked a 3-run HR to spark the 10-run frame. A close game started out explosively as the Firefighters pushed across 5 runs on 7 hits in the first, and KECH replied with 6 runs on 6 hits of its own in the home half. KECH stayed ahead until the Firefighters tied the game 14-14 with a 5—run, 6-hit sixth. Once again, KECH had an answer—4 runs in the home sixth from the bottom of its batting order. The Firefighters came back once again but fell just short, leaving the potential tying runs in scoring position in the seventh.
