2011 Days of the Old West pay window

Here are the final results of the 64th annual, $28,154 Days of the Old West rodeo sponsored by the Sawtooth Rangers Riding Club Saturday through Monday, July 2-4 at Hailey Ro-deo Park.

Heading up the Rangers are president Bill Bobbitt, vice president Bud Amend, treas-urer Lorna Hazelton and secre-tary Madeline Amend. Direc-tors are Bruce Hazelton, Brad Taylor, Kelly Heuett, Jim Pierce and Paul Ramm.

The eight classes in the Idaho Cowboys Association (ICA) and Intermountain Pro Rodeo Association (ImPRA) event are ranked in order from the biggest purse, on down.

Stock contractor was Red Eye Rodeo Co. of Homedale. Arena director was Bud Amend. The announcer for the sixth straight year was Jason Kelly.

Pick-up men were Dirk Kim and Richard Nelson. Judges were Ryan Scherer and Gay-land Brower. Timers were Nancy Durham and Mindy Hoggan, and the bullfighters were Tyson Hutchinson and Randall Eshner. Writing the checks was secretary Wade Durham.

The 2011 ImPRA schedule also includes rodeos at Carey July 22-23, at Shoshone July 29-30 and the ImPRA finals Sept. 5-6 at Eastern Idaho State Fair-grounds in Blackfoot. Added money at Hailey ranged from $700 to $1,000 per event.

Final Old West results:

Team roping ($5,232 purse): 1 (tie)—Jade Stoddard and Beau Hutchinson, 5.2 seconds for $693.24 each, Tyler Bell and Ben Tibbitts, 5.2 seconds for $693.24 each. 3—Kelsey Felton and Paul Dunn, 6.0 seconds for $497.04 each. 4—Kyler Turner and Jason Roberts, 6.2 seconds for $366.24 each. 5—Tyrel Hill and Britt Newman, 6.5 seconds for $235.44 each. 6—Michael McGinn and Will Hulden, 6.6 seconds for $130.80 each (fees $75 per man, 31 teams, $800 added money).

Breakaway roping ($5,064 purse): 1 (tie)—Cheyanna Robinson, 2.6 sec-onds for $1,088.76, and Katie McFar-lane, 2.6 seconds for $1,088.76. 3 (tie)—Shelby Freed, 2.7 seconds for $784.92, and Jessica Kack, 2.7 sec-onds for $784.92. 5—Dani Milleil, 3.3 seconds for $557.04. 6—Sara Hen-dricks, 3.5 seconds for $405.12. 7—Shanae Baron, 3.7 seconds for $253.20. 8—Cami Schei, 4.0 seconds for $101.28 (fee $75, with 61 riders and $700 added money).

Barrel racing ($3,700 purse): 1—Hope Jordan, 17.015 seconds for $816.96. 2—Kristy Barton of Carey, 17.204 seconds for $710.40. 3—Kini Wright, 17.231 seconds for $603.84. 4—Kimberlyn Fehringer, 17.252 sec-onds for $497.28. 5—Toni Horkley, 17.282 seconds for $390.72. 6—Samantha Logan, 17.388 seconds for $284.16. 7—Sierra Ridley, 17.473 seconds for $177.60. 8—Andrea Jones, 17.494 seconds for $71.04 (fee $75, 46 riders, $700 added money).

Bullriding ($3,076 purse including day money): 1—Jason Anderson, 87 points for $3,076 (entry $95 including day money, 23 riders, $1,000 added money).

Tie down roping ($3,018 purse): 1—Cy Eames, 9.2 seconds for $701.04. 2—Skeeter Roe, 9.6 sec-onds for $609.60. 3—Pete Jones, 10.4 seconds for $518.16. 4—Jade Stod-dard, 10.6 seconds for $426.72. 5—Clayton Hansen, 11.0 seconds for $335.28. 6—Rawlee Yamauchi, 11.1 seconds for $243.84. 7—Chase Han-sen, 11.2 seconds for $152.40. 8 (tie)—Sam MacKenzie, 11.3 seconds for $30.48, and Kyle Van Biezen, 11.3 seconds for $30.48 (fee $75, with 33 ropers, $700 added money).
