Former Ketchum man killed in Canada

Nick Crosby victim of traffic accident

A radio station in Canada reported this week that a former Ketchum man who played forward for the Brooks Bandits Junior Hockey League team in Alberta died Tuesday following a head-on collision near Calgary.

Nineteen-year-old Nick Crosby previously attended The Community School in Sun Valley. His brother Tom Crosby will be a senior at the school this year. According to the school's yearbook, Nick Crosby is the son of Bob and Wendy Crosby of Ketchum.

In its online edition, Q91 Country radio reported that the accident occurred Monday afternoon in the Field area near Lake Louise west of Calgary. The station reported that Crosby was airlifted to a hospital in Calgary, where he died Tuesday.

According to the report, Crosby was traveling to Vernon, B.C., when the accident occurred.
