Gilman Contemporary gallery in Ketchum and Panache Sun Valley will present a swanky soiree, "Art, Fashion and Camp Rainbow Gold," to benefit children with cancer and their families featuring world-renowned clothing designer Diane von Furstenberg's pre-fall collection and work from award-winning photographer Laurie Victor Kay.

The event will take place at the Gilman Contemporary gallery in Ketchum today, July 6, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tickets are $45 and available at the door. A fashion show will include music by DJ McClain, Zou 75 sushi rolled on site, chocolate strawberries, cocktails and photography by Laurie Victor Kay. Kay's "Kaleidoscope" series will be on exhibition.

In addition, there will be an opportunity to bid on a Diane von Fursternberg fashion auction package to benefit Camp Rainbow Gold. The package includes two tickets to the Diane von Furstenberg Fashion Show in New York City, a tour of her showroom, including lunch, a three-night hotel stay at Sanctuary Hotel in New York City and a complete Diane von Furstenberg ensemble.

< Kay's photographs will be on display at Gilman Contemporary in Ketchum through July 31. Ten percent of purchases at the gallery can be written to Camp Rainbow Gold. In addition, the opportunity to buy clothes from the Diane von Furstenberg pre-fall collection seen at the Gilman Contemporary will be available on Thursday, July 7, from 4-6 p.m. at the Diane von Furstenberg pre-fall collection trunk show at Panache Sun Valley in the Sun Valley mall.

Von Furstenberg will make an appearance at the trunk show and 10 percent of the proceeds from sales at Panache Sun Valley will benefit Camp Rainbow Gold. In addition, final bidding on the Diane von Furstenberg fashion auction package will take place on Thursday and the winner of the auction package will be announced at 6 p.m. at Panache Sun Valley.

According to a press release from the Diane von Furstenberg Studio, the pre-fall collection "American Legends" is dedicated to the fearless woman "who walks through life's landscapes with intent and intensity."

The clothing line includes a graphic gaucho wrap, which exhibits sumptuous shades of gold and crimson. In addition, there is a fringed vest with a sheer blouse and subtly pleated dresses that are seductive and serious.

A woman can casually wear von Furstenberg's printed pajama suit, a patchwork leather jacket and an evening apron over silk pants. The clothes are eccentric and eclectic, exhibiting color such as sky blue from head to toe or mixing prints. A blanket red coat and textured jackets with clothes revealing bright shades of teal are also part of the collection. The Diane von Furstenberg style also includes a cropped jacket, oversized glasses and clothing that reveals a look of liquid sequins.
