Ann Carol Barnard

Ann Carol Barnard passed away on Thursday, June 23, after a prolonged illness. She was born in Memphis, Tenn., on July 4, 1941. She graduated from David Lipscombe University with a degree in physiology and worked as a social worker in Phoenix, Ariz.

Anna, as she liked to be called, was preceded in death by her parents, Mac and Edith Hogan of Nashville, Tenn., and her beloved Sam Parker of Ketchum, Idaho. She is survived by her sister, Patricia Jones of Nashville, and her nephew, Jonathan Jones, of Nashville.

There was a double rainbow in the sky the day Anna moved to Ketchum and she said she had found the place she wanted to live. Next to a morning of fresh powder on the mountain, her favorite time of year was morel season, where she could be seen, every day, tramping the woods from south to north following the morels. She loved water skiing, hiking and playing softball.

There will be a happy memorial celebration of Anna's life to be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations, etc., helping someone with a kind word and a helping hand when needed would please her very much.
