Open ride at Ohio Gulch for dirt bikers

Motocross racers gather at upgraded track

Dirt bike riders like Rob Webb, pictured here riding this past Sunday, gathered for an “Open Ride Day” and benefit at the Ohio Gulch track between Ketchum and Hailey. A sizable group came out and answered a call from the Hailey-based non-profit organization called Idaho Mountain Dirt Riders Association. They showed up to test the track located in an isolated area above the county landfill. Dirt bike enthusiasts intend to raise money for an upgrading of the Ohio Gulch track with the idea of transforming it into a dirt bike park. Said dirt biker Brandon Glanville, “The idea is for us to get a little ownership and get everybody involved to take care of it, so we don’t lose this opportunity.” Express photo by Willy Cook
