RESULTS

Elevate 18, Firefighters 17 (11 innings)

It was a good thing that Wednesday was one of the longest days of the year, since one of the longest Coed league games in recent years went all the way to the home 11th, when Matt Siegel (4 hits, 3 runs) sent everyone home with a walk-off solo HR. Elevate's first win of the season was a wild one. The winners built a 10-6 lead with a 5-hit, 4-run fourth. But Firefighters batted around in a 7-hit, 7-run sixth for a 14-10 cushion—Jeff Burrell's 2-run double the big blow. Elevate saved a big rally and tied the game with a 2-out, 4-run comeback in the home seventh as Dirk Zondaz lined a 2-run double. Each team scored twice in the ninth as Elevate's Cooper Minnis (3 hits) hit his second HR of the game, a 2-run shot. And each team pushed a single run across in the 10th. But Firefighters stranded two runners in the visitor 11th, setting the stage for Siegel's game winner. Elevate: Kellee Havens and Liz Brown 2 hits each, Carrie Philbrick 4 hits and 3 RBI. Firefighters: Matt Christian 4 hits (2 doubles) and 4 runs, Sue Mulcahy 4 hits (double) and 2 runs, Jeff Burrell 3 hits, 3 runs and 5 RBI, Ed Binnie 2 hits (double) and 2 runs, Jamie 4 hits and 2 runs.

Casino/Whiskey Jacques 13, Idaho Bioscience 3

Casino (19 hits) scored in five of its six at-bats to stay unbeaten. Casino: Cody Lampl HR, Tom Moreland 2 hits (double, HR), Vicki Johnson 3 runs, Nic Nottingham 2 doubles and 2 runs, Brenda Johnson 3 hits, and 2 hits apiece by Jill Morse, Matt Zachary, Kathy Baker and Brian O'Connor. Bioscience: Kevin Jones 3 hits, Levi Thompson 2 doubles.

Casino/Whiskey Jacques 12, Firefighters 7

Ahead 4-1 after two frames, Casino had to rally from a 7-6 deficit with a 6-hit, 6-run seventh inning to pull off the victory. Tom Moreland (2 hits, triple, 2 runs) clouted a 3-run HR in the rally and Nic Nottingham (2 hits, HR) ripped a 3-run triple. Casino: Cody Lampl 2 hits and 2 runs, Vicki Johnson 2 hits (triple) and 2 runs. Firefighters: John Rathfon 2 hits (double), Morgan Uhrig 3 hits (HR, 2 doubles) and 3 runs, Steph Rowley 2 hits, Lee Ritzau 3 hits (triple) and 3 RBI.

KECH 10, Idaho Bioscience 5

Leadoff hitter Danny Maloney tripled and scored in the KECH first at-bats and belted a leadoff HR in the third for a 3-1 lead. A 2-out, 2-run HR in the sixth by Scotty Carlson (3 hits, 2 runs) extended KECH's lead to 7-1, but Bioscience came alive in the home sixth for 4 runs and had the tying runs aboard before the big rally ended. KECH: Amanda Lyon 2 hits (double), Trey Knox 2 hits, Jeff Heinecke 3 hits (triple, double) and 3 runs. Bioscience: Kevin Jones 2 hits, Isaac Chicone triple and double, Nathaniel Freedman 3 hits (double).
