The eighth annual New Balance Girls on the Run 5-kilometer and Healthy Living Expo is Saturday, May 21 from 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon at Lawrence Heagle Park in the Della View area of Hailey.
The run/walk/stroll over a 3.1-mile course benefits Girls on the Run, an after-school program that uses the power of running to help prepare girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living.
“We had over 85 girls participate in the spring Girls on the Run program. I’m so excited to see many of them complete their very first every 5k,” said Girls on the Run executive director Mary Fauth.
