Magician Jay Owenhouse will return to the Wood River Valley with his show, "Magic On the Edge," a tour that travels across the nation and abroad. The show will take place on Saturday, May 21, at the Wood River High School gymnasium at 2 p.m. Proceeds will benefit Blaine County's Youth Adult Konnection, commonly known as YAK!
Owenhouse is working on his new TV series for the ABC Family Channel. He can also be seen on Fox TV's "Magic on the Edge" and "Masters of Illusion," a program profiling the best magicians in the world.
"Magic on the Edge" has been called a mind-boggling and spellbinding experience that will keep magic lovers on the edge of their seats. Owenhouse's new show is a theatrical event in which audiences will witness and experience the magic. Audience members will have the opportunity to float in mid-air, get sawed in half, disappear and predict the future. The show also features Owenhouse's new Bengal tigers, Shekinah, a royal white tiger, and Sheena, a standard orange Bengal.
Hollywood entertainment journalist Mark Ebner recently wrote that "with apologies to P.T. Barnum, (this is) the greatest touring family show on earth."
Advance tickets are $15 for adults and children and may be purchased by calling (800) 779-8600. Tickets at the door will cost $20 for children and $25 for adults.
