Ketchum Wide Open takes anguish out of golf

Golfers and non-golfers should get out and about for the 2011 Ketchum Wide Open on Saturday, May 21. The Ketchum Wide Open, organized by the Sun Valley Chamber of Commerce, will challenge participants with putting holes at Smoky Mountain Pizzeria Grill, Cellar Pub, Rico's Pizza & Pasta, Sawtooth Club, Roosevelt Grille, Grumpy's, Lefty's, Casino Club and Whiskey Jacques'.

An awards ceremony will take place at Ketchum Town Square, at Fourth Street and Leadville Avenue, at 6 p.m., with prizes given for best overall score, best group costume, worst score and best hole.

The cost to participate is $20 for two people on a team or every two people who participate. Teams can include any number of people. Scorecards can be purchased in advance at the Sun Valley Chamber or at Ketchum Town Plaza beginning at 10 a.m. Tee-off begins at 11 a.m. and scorecards are due by 5 p.m. Costumes are highly encouraged.
