Norka M. Albarran


Norka M. Albarran, 54, of Bellevue died Friday, May 13, 2011, at St. Luke's Regional Medical Center in Boise following complications of lupus.

Norka was born on Oct. 16, 1956, in Ancash, Peru, South America. She was the daughter of Mary Z. Avendaño and Alciro Marcial Rivera. She married Edward Albarran on Aug. 28, 1986, in Lima, Peru.

Norka loved being a mother to her sons, and cherished time spent with her siblings and their children. She had many friends because of her compassionate nature and willingness to serve others.

The family wishes to express their gratitude for the wonderful outpouring of support and love shown during this difficult time.

Members of Norka's family include her husband, Edward Albarran of Bellevue; three sons, Eddy and Eli, both of Bellevue, and Mike Fernandez of Manhattan, New York; four brothers, Ruben Rivera (Holly) of Carey, John Lazo (Shawnna) of Hailey, Yamil Lazo (Flor) of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Dante Lazo (Felicitas) of West Valley, Utah; and her father, Alciro M. Rivera of Ketchum, and mother, Mary Z. Avendaño of Salt Lake City, Utah.

Services were held Monday, May 16 at the Hailey LDS Church. Interment followed in the Hailey Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established for Nokra Albarran, and donations may be sent to Edward Albarran, Box 4658, Ketchum, ID 83340.
