Ketchum police are investigating a fight early Wednesday morning in the alley behind Whiskey Jacques' nightclub that led to two men being transported to St. Luke's Wood River Medical Center.

Ketchum Police Chief Steve Harkins declined Wednesday to release names of anyone involved in the fracas, stating in a news release that the incident is in the "early stages of the investigation."

Police were called to the alley behind the nightclub at 2:20 a.m. Harkins reported that four men were there, three claiming to be victims and a fourth who claimed to be a "passerby who tried to break up the fight."

Harkins reported that two people received non-life-threatening head and leg injuries and were transported by Ketchum Fire Department ambulance to the hospital.

Several other people believed to have been involved in the brawl had fled in a vehicle by the time police arrived, Harkins reported.

He further reported the fight may have resulted from a confrontation earlier that evening at the nearby Casino Club and involved bar bouncers and people who had been kicked out of the bar.
