Luna Recall Reaches Blaine County

Luna Recall Reaches Blaine County Hailey veterinarian Steve Fairbrother canvassed for signatures in Woodside last week on a petition to recall state schools Superintendent Tom Luna. Fairbrother is co-chair of the Blaine County branch of the Committee to Recall Tom Luna, which seeks to put a recall vote on the November ballot. Fairbrother estimated that he has so far collected 100 signatures from opponents of Luna’s education reform bills, passed into law in March. He said fellow co-chair Ron Salmon has collected nearly 500 signatures since the kickoff on April 16, and more than a dozen volunteers have been gathering signatures countywide. The statewide committee has until June 30 to collect at least 158,107 signatures.
