New tenants signed for Copper Ridge

State liquor store and new drug store to open there in June

The Copper Ridge building in downtown Ketchum will be the home of a new drug store and the Idaho state liquor store, broker Paul Kenny said Monday.

The new drug store is a private LLC, not a franchise. Tenants have signed a five-year lease for about 1,850 square feet of space, he said.

"They don't want to disclose their name just yet," Kenny said.

He said the business plans to open the third week of June.

The liquor store, also scheduled to open that week, is moving into about 3,090 square feet of space. The store is relocating from its current downtown Ketchum location to increase the square footage and to improve parking for customers, Kenny said.

"This is new activity for the Copper Ridge building, so it's very exciting," he said. "It will create some energy and buzz for the building. These are great tenants."

Kenny said the tenants will likely prompt more interest in the remaining available space in the building.

"It's going to be a very attractive building for other tenants because of the heavy foot traffic these two tenants will generate," he said.

Copper Ridge, a $27 million mixed-use project on Washington Avenue between Second and Third streets, opened in 2004.
