Thomas Allen Marlow

Thomas Allen Marlow, 61, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at his home in Hagerman, Idaho, where he had resided for 11 years.

He was born in Wendell, Idaho, on March 8, 1950, where he attended school for 10 years. He graduated from Wood River High School in 1968 after the family relocated to the Wood River Valley. He joined the Idaho National Guard in 1971 and received his Certificate of Retirement dated March 8, 2010. He was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed taking his nephews to his "secret" places in the Wood River Valley, where fish were always caught. In addition to becoming an excellent dry waller in various constructions throughout the valley, he also worked for the Sun Valley Co. for some years operating snowplows on Bald Mountain in the winters and mowing grass at the golf course in the summers.

Tom was preceded in death by his mother, Vida Crabb Marlow; his father, P.D. "Bud" Marlow; and his brother, Charles R. "Butch" Marlow. He is survived by three sisters, Barbara Taylor of Buhl, and Gloria (Kenneth Sr.) DeThorne and Sharon Cutler, all of Mountain Home; sister-in-law, Sylvia Marlow of Idaho Falls; and aunt, Mona Marlow of Wendell; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews; and his faithful black Labrador, "D-O-G."

Cremation arrangements will be under the direction of Demaray Funeral Service Gooding Chapel. His life will be celebrated by family and friends in their own private and personal ways. Condolences may be shared with the family by visiting the obituary link at www.demarayfuneralservice.com.
