Hundreds gathered under bright blue skies at Hop Porter Park in Hailey Saturday, April 23 to hunt for eggs, climb Carbonate and enjoy a barbeque.
It supported The Advocates' third annual Carbonate Hill Climb Race to build awareness of April's Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM).
Advocates' community education coordinator Trish Tobias said, "The day's events were put on by three main groups—The Advocates, Hailey Chamber of Commerce and Big Brothers & Sisters. This collaborative effort resulted in broad, community-wide reach."
The morning kicked off with youth on the hunt for Easter Eggs at the Community Easter Egg Hunt. More than 100 people participated and enjoyed the barbecue. And 57 people signed up for the 2.5-mile round-trip race on Carbonate Hill.
Top three women: Maranda Stopol 36:34, Georgie Montgomery 36:43 and Molly Meyers 41:26. Top three men: Eric Chizum 31:19, Alexis Gonazlez 33:08 and Sam Parker 34:29.
The top three 13-and-under boys were Emmett Say 40:10, Irvin Gonzalez 44:22 and John Quinones 51.43. And the top three 13-and-under girls were Shaelynn Dockstader 1.18:16, Lili Torres 1.18:16 and Rylee Baldwin 1.19:56.
