Red-hot rides and more fun at resort

Sun Valley unrolls the red carpet for kids

Who wouldn't want to spend a few hours or days sampling all that Sun Valley Resort has to offer during its delightful summer season?

Sun Valley's Young Summer Day Camp for kids ages 6-14 offers coordinated weekly and daily programs designed to give your kids a new appreciation of the resort facilities—while having supervised fun.

Fun recreational activities are provided Mondays through Saturdays from mid-June through Labor Day. Day Camp is open to the public and resort guests. For reservations call 622-2133 in the summer season, or 622-2135 before mid-June.

Activities include skating, swimming, paddle boating, field sports, arts and crafts, gondola rides on Baldy, horseback riding, nature hikes, bowling, picnics and wagon rides. Kids 8 and over can horseback ride.

Rates are $67 for half day (four hours) and $95 for full day. Lunch ($8) is included in the full-day rate.

You can take figure skating, junior golf and junior tennis lessons, too. Also, Sun Valley Playschool and its well-equipped playground is an option for kids under 5. Evening babysitting is provided by reservation.
