Time for Best of the Valley tally

Vote for all things great in community

Express Staff Writer

The 2011 Best of the Valley survey is now open to voters. Go to to cast your votes for the best the Wood River Valley has to offer.

Six sections, covering more than 120 categories, are included in the survey. Voters will dictate the best of Blaine County in dining, recreation, shopping, business, entertainment and people.

This is the third year that the Sun Valley Guide, sister publication to the Idaho Mountain Express, has conducted a "best of" survey for the Wood River Valley.

Participation has more than doubled, from 1,100 survey participants in 2009 to 2,665 in 2010, making this one of the most comprehensive surveys ever published in the valley.

The Best of the Valley survey will be delivered through the leading survey tool on the Web, SurveyMonkey. This method of collecting data is tamper-proof—no ballot stuffing—producing the most accurate results available. Most questions are open-ended, not multiple-choice, so participants can fill in any answer they desire.

The survey will close Sunday, May 1, at 5 p.m. The results will be published in a special magazine on newsstands in late August.
